Points are the whole game at Venice Hoops. Win more, earn more, and every win stays on your profile for good.

Sign up
Create your player profile: name, age, height, and weight. It takes a minute and it is free.
Step 2
Win a 1v1
Beat anyone at the Friday tournament or a pickup run. Tell a WOOOBA rep, or report it yourself.
Step 3
Rep approves
A WOOOBA rep enters or approves every win. Approved wins are final and go on your profile.
Step 4
Cash in
Each win is one point. Trade points for money in your WOOOBA Wallet or for Venice Hoops gear.

Format
Built to play more than once

Pool play
Players are drawn into pools of four at check-in. Everyone plays three round-robin games, so nobody drives to Venice for a single game.

Top two advance
Two points for a win. Ties break on head-to-head, then point differential. The top two in every pool move on.
- 3
Knockout bracket
Pool winners are seeded against runners-up from the opposite side. One loss and you are out. The Venice Court King (or Queen) takes the cash.
- Scoring
- Games to 11. Ones inside the arc, twos outside.
- Pool games
- Win by 1 with an 8 minute cap. Leader at the buzzer wins.
- Knockout games
- Games to 15, win by 2, capped at 17.
- Possession
- Make-it-take-it. Check ball at the top of the key.
- Fouls
- Call your own. Dispute it and the ball goes back.
- Check-in
- Bring a photo ID. Spots not checked in by 2:45 PM go to the waitlist.

What does it cost?
Nothing. Entry is free and the prize money is funded by WOOOBA and our sponsors.
Why do I need a WOOOBA account?
Registering creates your WOOOBA PlayerProfile and WOOOBA Wallet. Your results live on your profile and any cash prize is deposited straight into your Wallet.
How do I get paid if I win?
Prize money is credited to your WOOOBA Wallet after the final. No checks, no cash handoffs on the sand.
How do points work?
Every 1v1 win is one point, and it counts for any win a WOOOBA rep enters or approves, in the tournament or at a Friday pickup run. Points trade in for cash in your WOOOBA Wallet or for Venice Hoops and WOOOBA gear. Your win count stays on your profile and drives the leaderboard.
What if the tournament is full?
You join the waitlist. If someone cancels or does not check in, the next player on the list is moved up automatically.
Can I play if I am under 18?
Yes, from age 16. A parent or guardian must be present at check-in to sign the paper waiver.
What if it rains?
We post updates on Instagram by noon on Friday. A rained-out event rolls to the next Friday and registrations carry over.
